As a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology, I have launched a comprehensive survey project aimed at better understanding what drives employee motivation and engagement. Through this project, I hope to gain valuable insights into how organizations can create a positive and productive work environment that fosters these qualities. My goal is to help companies build a workplace culture where employees feel valued, engaged, and motivated to give their best work. Engagement and Motivation in Training

Description of Concept/Issue/Problem

As an instructional designer, I’m passionate about creating engaging and motivating training programs. In today’s dynamic corporate environment, it’s essential to design learning experiences that captivate learners and hold their interest from start to finish. I believe that a high level of engagement and motivation leads to better job performance, enhanced knowledge retention, and happier employees.

I’ve chosen this topic because I’m eager to understand the factors that contribute to a successful learning experience. I’m excited to discover which training activities, formats, and techniques truly resonate with learners and keep them motivated. By conducting this survey, I hope to gather valuable insights that will help me design more effective, learner-centric training programs that cater to diverse needs and preferences.

Target Population(s) to Administer Survey

To ensure diverse and unbiased feedback from a wide range of professionals who have undergone different training programs, I plan to share this survey on my social media platforms, targeting working adults outside my company. This will help me design engaging and motivating training programs for a random and diverse audience.

Description of Distribution Plan

Before moving forward with the distribution plan, I have developed a well-structured survey that focuses on the key aspects of engagement and motivation in training. The survey is concise, easy to understand, and includes a variety of question types, such as multiple-choice, Likert scale, and open-ended questions.

To share the survey, I will use my social media platforms (LinkedIn and Facebook). I’ll craft eye-catching posts with visuals and persuasive language to encourage working adults from various industries to take part. Additionally, I’ll ask my friends, family, and colleagues to share the survey within their networks to reach an even wider audience.
